Plan for the week:

1. Connecting the Spine and the Hips

Today we will work towards feeling the direct relationship between the pelvis and the spine. We will learn two key positions with the hips - anterior and posterior pelvic tilt. The end goal of today will be a fluid spinal wave motion. This is great for anyone experiencing back pain of any kind

2. The One Hip Drill You Need

After working on some warm up/ opening exercises we will go through, in depth, the side lying “hip CARS”. This is my favorite drill for the hips, as when done correctly you can target literally every range of motion in the hip joint in a few minutes. It’s so effective, especially for people on a tight schedule

3. Understand the Shoulders and Scapula

Today is about understanding the role of the scapula and shoulder joint, and how they are related. Using this knowledge, we will then go through shoulder CARs, in depth. Proper utilization of this exercise will play a huge role in opening up and keeping your shoulders mobile for life.

4. Hamstrings, Hips and Diagonals

Time to unlock those tight hammies. This session starts with some basic, but effective hamstring openers and then moves into diagonal stretches that will truly help unlock your hips.

5. Advanced Shoulders and Spine for the Deskworker

Today is about practicing some of the drills we have learnt so far, but then layering in some super effective drills to open up the shoulders and spine, going against the grain of deskwork (think upper body collapsing into keyboard - spine rounding etc) The body feels so great after these!

About Fraser Santé

Thanks to a travel-heavy former career as a disc-jockey in my early adulthood, I was limited to local calisthenics parks and the great outdoors as a training environment. This forced me to learn how to build and maintain a strong physique using just bodyweight and movement. I became interested in the field of mobility training, learning how to become strong and supple, how to rehab/ prehab and maintain healthy, buttery joints. As is often the case, once understanding human anatomy more deeply, you start to notice your own areas of dysfunction, and from there you start to assess the movement quality of individuals around you, and from there there’s no going back.

Fast forward 6 years, I’ve helped 1000s of individuals achieve pain free movement, predominantly done in person within a full time employed role at a leading mobility/ movement gym in London. I’m now on a mission to help people on a global scale, opening up my services online through programs, challenges and personalized coaching.
